North American Cherry is hard enough to guarantee the level of performance required; notwithstanding this, the flooring may become marked by bumps or falling objects, by loads concentrate over a small area like stiletto heels, ladders and so on or small objects like nails and small stones lodged in the soles of shoes. Any kind of face finishing functions as a form of protection but does not prevent this phenomenon from occurring.

 

By esposure to the sunlight with the time the North American Cherry has the tendency to slightly modify its colour. That’s why the supplied wooden elements may have a tonality of colour different from the samples. In case of employment of carpets, runners or other objects on the floor the stains, eventually come out, tends to disappear with the exposure to the sunlight.

 

Every piece of wood of the same type has an unique and original appearance, depending both from the weather conditions and chemistry of the area where the tree grew, and from the point of the trunk from which the piece was obtained. Colour shades and vein characteristics are therefore purely guideline and not binding, because they are only minimally effective in reflecting the natural variations that makes every wooden item truly unique and unrepeatable. For all the above reasons there maybe clear differences in appearance and shade even between items made from the same type of wood.
